Marco Island Area Marco Island is right at the South Western tip of Florida, directly west of Miami on the east coast. Marco is a small island community with its own unique way of life, and is about 25 minutes from Naples. It is very peaceful and quiet but has a ‘society’ feel. The whole area is honeycombed with waterways and many homes are built on the waterways with boat docks giving access to the sea. The island offers some shopping malls with a good choice of dining out and bars. The soft white sands of Tigertail public beach are just a short drive from all properties. Watersports abound and are easily arranged locally.
